Givers — and the season of thanks

Today’s ROAR value is ON TASK, and our house is Altruismo, the House of Givers. With Thanksgiving next week, it’s the right moment to think about giving — and about gratitude.

Here’s something worth knowing: gratitude is measurable. Researchers have found that people who regularly notice what they’re thankful for report better mood, better sleep, and stronger relationships. It’s a practice, not just a feeling.

Two ways to say thanks VAGUE “I’m thankful for my family.” True, but forgettable SPECIFIC “I’m thankful my aunt drove me to practice.” You can picture it

The specific one is the one that sticks.
