There’s a big word for this — PERSEVERE — and an everyday word for it: PRACTICE. Both mean the same thing. It’s what turns “I can’t do this” into “I can’t do this yet.”
Word of the Day: PRACTICE. Practice means trying something again and again until you get better at it. Nobody is good at something the very first time!
Say it with me, big and strong: “I can’t do it — YET!” Now here’s the big-kid word for practicing. Say it in three parts: per · se · VERE. Again, faster! Now turn to a partner and tell them one thing you’re still practicing.
Quote of the day: “Never underestimate the power of dreams and the influence of the human spirit.”
With a partner, finish this sentence out loud: “I haven’t mastered ______ yet, but I’m going to keep working because ______.” Notice the power of that word yet.
If additional activities are needed for the Morning Meeting, they will be added here.
