Our community helpers!
Every community depends on people doing important jobs — and a school is no different. Today we notice the helpers all around us.
A community is full of helpers — people whose job is to take care of others!
Let’s talk
- Who is a helper at our school you are thankful for?
- What is a job you see grown-ups do to help keep us safe?

Thank a helper! Think of one helper at our school. Practice saying “Thank you for helping us!” with a partner — then say it for real when you see them today.
Communities work because people take on different roles and responsibilities — everyone has a part to play.

- If you had a job to help our school run, what would you choose, and why?
- What might happen if people didn’t do their community jobs?
