Scientist cheer! Say it together: “Oops — let’s try again!” Now shake it out and give yourself a pat on the back. That’s what scientists do!
Did you know? George Washington Carver, a Black American scientist born into slavery, ran hundreds of experiments with peanuts and sweet potatoes. Many failed — but his work transformed farming across the South and helped farmers restore worn-out soil.
Quick challenge with a partner: name a problem in our school or community. Then brainstorm two different ways a scientist might test a solution. Remember — there’s never just one way to try!
