Every living thing — a plant, an animal, or you — needs certain things to survive and grow. Scientists study exactly what those needs are.
Plants need three things to grow: sunlight, water, and air — a lot like how YOU need food, sleep, and care to grow big and strong!
Grow like a plant! Curl up small like a seed, then slowly grow tall, reaching your arms up toward the sunshine. How big can you grow?
All living things share the same basic needs — energy, water, and a place to live. Scientists call the place where something lives its habitat.
With a partner, pick an animal and name its habitat. Then list two things that habitat gives the animal to help it survive.
If additional activities are needed for the Morning Meeting, they will be added here.
