What’s the weather like today?

Weather is all around us every single day! Scientists who study weather are called meteorologists. Today we’re going to think like meteorologists and observe what’s happening outside!

Weather changes every day — it can be sunny, rainy, cloudy, or windy! Scientists who study weather are called meteorologists.

Weather reporter time! Turn to a partner and give them your best weather report for today. Use your hands to show if it’s sunny, rainy, or windy!

Meteorologists predict weather by studying patterns in the air, sky, and temperature. Late August in Chattanooga is typically hot and humid — a pattern we can predict!
